About Gearshift

What does Gearshift Digital do?

Gearshift builds websites, marketing, AI systems and apps for technical businesses, as one team instead of separate suppliers.

  • Websites: strategy, design, copy, build, hosting and maintenance
  • Performance marketing: campaigns, landing pages, CRO and clear reporting
  • AI systems: faster follow-up, agents, integrations and human control
  • Apps and dashboards: internal apps, dashboards and integrations, built to order

Who does Gearshift work for?

For small and medium technical businesses that do good work but are too easy to overlook online.

  • Businesses that built their name on good work and a strong network
  • Businesses where customers, partners and future employees now look online first

Who is behind Gearshift?

A team of three specialists: Thom Leeuwestein, Daniël Martina and Matthijs Bennebroek.

  • Thom Leeuwestein: marketing, content, placement and industry knowledge of the technical B2B market
  • Daniël Martina: compliance, and the link between content and consumer psychology
  • Matthijs Bennebroek: from his background in contract advice, the driving force behind the client's wishes and their translation into concrete products

How does working together go?

You email the team directly and keep the same points of contact from start to delivery.

  • Reachability: no account manager who passes it on
  • Consultation: fixed conversations during the build, then reading what the numbers say every week
  • Decisions: proposals are on the table before we build, changes outside scope always come to you first

Getting started

What is the free growth scan?

The growth scan is a one-page review with practical recommendations for your website, your visibility or the way you follow up on enquiries. Filling it in takes about five minutes and you receive the result within three working days.

  • A review of your current digital position
  • Three practical recommendations
  • A suggested first step and scope
  • Optionally a video call to follow up

Where do I start if I do not know what I need?

Start with the growth scan: it shows where the first gain is. Most projects start with the website, because marketing and internal systems build on it.

  • No good website yet: start with the website
  • Website already in place: often start with marketing, AI systems or apps and dashboards

How does a project run?

A project runs in four steps, in this order. At the start of each step you know what will be delivered and who signs off on it.

  • Diagnose: we map the business, the audience and the friction as it stands
  • Design: we settle the message, the way of working and the success signals
  • Deliver: we build, test and launch, with clear ownership
  • Improve: we read the numbers and decide on the next shift

What do I need to provide for a website?

For a website we ask for your knowledge of the business and access to what already exists.

  • At least two people from your organisation who can explain the services and the audience
  • Existing imagery, where available
  • Access to the current domain and the current hosting

What happens to the details I fill in?

Gearshift uses these details only to answer your request. What we keep and for how long is set out in the privacy statement.

Costs and agreements

What does a website cost?

Websites come in five fixed packages. The amount follows from the package and is set out in the proposal; all amounts exclude VAT.

  • Foundation: Basic and Renew
  • Renewal: Expand
  • Commercial growth: Industry-wide and Full service

What is included in every website?

Every website package has the same basis. The final scope follows the signed proposal.

  • At least five conversations and four feedback rounds
  • Responsive design and copy
  • Forms and technical SEO foundations
  • Privacy setup and testing
  • Launch support
  • The first year of hosting (three years with Full service)

What is not included in the price?

A few things fall outside a fixed website package.

  • Connections to CRM, planning or a client portal: possible, but as a separate proposal
  • A new visual identity: separate work with its own price, except in Full service
  • Promises about Google rankings: we put the technical foundation and the copy in order
  • Sites on a system we cannot hand over: you get the source code and the access

How do payment and extra work work?

Unless the proposal says otherwise, you pay 25 percent as a deposit at the start and 75 percent on delivery.

  • Hosting is included the first year; what renewal costs after that is set out in the proposal
  • Work outside the agreed scope requires written approval and may lead to an additional proposal

Why is there no fixed package for marketing, AI and apps?

Because those projects differ too much per business. We budget them per project, after a no-obligation conversation.

  • Marketing: budget, audience and channels differ per market
  • AI systems: what makes sense depends on the tools and processes a business already uses
  • Apps and dashboards: custom work by definition, built on the systems and integrations that already exist

The services explained

What is performance marketing?

Performance marketing means we do not only run campaigns but measure what they actually deliver, in enquiries and not in impressions.

  • A targeted campaign plan
  • Landing pages and CRO
  • Dashboards you can use
  • Fixed evaluation and improvement

How does Gearshift use AI without losing control?

An AI system proposes and an employee decides where that has been agreed. The result only goes out after that check.

  • Data: only what the task needs, nothing more
  • Permissions: access per role, not for everyone by default
  • Security: processing within existing, secured systems
  • Approval: an employee approves before anything goes out, where that has been agreed
  • Reliability: an agent works within a boundary agreed in advance and hands over as soon as it goes beyond it

What are apps and dashboards, and is there an example?

Internal apps and dashboards show your own numbers, built on the systems you already use. The apps and dashboards page has a clickable demo of Square, the business software Gearshift also uses for itself.

  • A dashboard with the numbers you steer by
  • Internal apps for recurring work
  • Integrations with the systems you already use
  • Access and permissions per user
